Twin Bedding
If you're looking for a good bedding set for a twin bed, it
doesn't have to a bed in a bag variety, although that's what a lot
of people do simply because of convenience. If the complete set has
more pieces than you need and you're only looking to replace once
piece of an existing set, then you should look for the individual
pieces and save yourself quite a bit of money.
We recently replaced the comforter in my oldest sons room. I
didn't need the full bed in a bag set, so we just bought a $20
comforter (his choice, picked from 3 different styles) and used it
along with the sheet set he already had. I didn't need the extra
pillows or bed skirt so there was no reason to buy it.
Bedding sets for a twin bed are really quite fun. My biggest
problem is choosing from all the neat different styles
available. When I went to college I picked up the most incredible
multi colored twin bedspread set (yes, it was in a bag) and I was
actually sad to move out when I graduated and no longer had a need
for the twin size bedding. They didn't make this particular style
in queen or king (typical, most twin styles are geared for a
younger crowd) so I had to give it up.
If you get the right set, something durable and with a high
enough thread count, it could be something your child will use
throughout his college years. If he really likes it there's no
reason it has to stay at home, unless you'd rather have it there
for sentimental reasons. It could go to school with him.
